About the role
As an integral member of our team, you will be committed to delivering student-centred high-quality supervision, learning and teaching experiences, that are closely linked to and reflect contemporary health needs and contexts. You will act as a clinical coordinator at the Mt Helen speech pathology clinic, contribute to the development and delivery of Speech Pathology units at undergraduate and graduate levels, and the Institute's research course and administrative functions.
You will:
* develop, teach, coordinate and moderate units in speech therapy;
* undertake supervision, teaching and assessment of undergraduate, honours and postgraduate students;
* undertake research activities; and
* supervise students undertaking clinical placement, project units, honours programs and research higher degrees.
About you
You will work as part of the Institute's team of academic and administrative staff. You will possess proven educational, research and professional experience and seek to embed long and short-term research strategies for the Institute within the strategic framework of the University and in accordance with its mission. You will be a creative thinker and avid problem-solver, who possesses initiative, innovation, and a can-do attitude.
You will possess:
* a certified practicing member of Speech Pathology Australia;
* commitment to scholarship and a potential for academic advancement;
* demonstrated commitment to and enthusiasm for teaching, and a good teaching record as a clinical supervisor; and
* previous experience in academic administration, including the administration of units and clinical supervision.
