Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Director/Director of Property to join their team. This newly created role offers the opportunity to work in Sydney, reporting directly to the Co-Head of Private Markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new commercial mortgage loan business, focusing specifically on large-scale transactions exceeding $10 million. This role requires a deep understanding of financial analysis and deal structuring, along with strong business development skills.
What you'll do:
As a Director of Property, your primary responsibility will be generating new commercial mortgage loan business, focusing specifically on large-scale transactions exceeding $10 million. You will be expected to develop and execute a strategic sales plan that aligns with our client's investment strategy. Your role will involve building and maintaining strong relationships with key referral sources, including commercial real estate brokers, developers, investors, attorneys, and accountants. You will also be tasked with analyzing complex financial statements, property valuations, and market data to assess the creditworthiness of borrowers.
* Identify, pursue, and cultivate new business opportunities within the commercial real estate market.
* Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve loan origination targets.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key referral sources.
* Analyze complex financial statements, property valuations, and market data to assess the creditworthiness of borrowers.
* Prepare and present comprehensive investment papers and loan proposals.
* Negotiate loan terms and documentation with borrowers.
* Maintain a deep understanding of current commercial real estate market trends.
* Work collaboratively with other members of the team.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Director of Property role will bring a wealth of experience in commercial real estate lending. With a minimum of 10 years in the field, you have a proven track record of originating large commercial mortgages exceeding $10 million. Your strong understanding of commercial real estate finance is complemented by excellent financial analysis and modelling skills. You have an established network within the commercial real estate industry and possess proven business development and sales skills.
