Digital Product Sales (APAC)
Sydney/ Melbourne
Description
We are seeking a candidate to join the senior commercial leadership team, reporting directly to the global commercial head of Digital Products. We are seeking a talented and entrepreneurial individual who has a successful track record and is ready to take their career to the next stage by leading our growth in APAC.
This is a permanent role based in Sydney/Melbourne where you will be representing our suite of Digital Products to the APAC Market qualifying and managing new business opportunities through the sales cycle to successful closure.
You are also expected to work closely with the broader Apex Group’s business development team and the specific product teams to coordinate and enable sales activities.
Job specification
* Research and identify new prospects and promote our product offering in the region.
* Manage lead generation and track all new enquiries throughout the sales cycle, diarise follow ups and develop customer relationships.
* Respond to all new customer enquires in the region – provide relevant information including product brochures and arrange and attend demonstrations and assist in the specification and successful delivery of proof of concepts.
* Respond to high level system functionality queries liaising with support and development staff as necessary.
* Maintain and develop industry networks with links to existing and potential clients via face-to-face, email, phone and digital media.
* Co-ordinate new client on-boarding from a legal perspective working with internal and external legal teams.
* Contribute to the regional marketing campaigns by identifying suitable PR & Media and conference opportunities to promote the products.
* Manage regional pipeline through CRM system including all activity, providing reporting to management regularly.
Skills Required:
* Required: 7+ years’ experience in financial software sales in the front, middle or back office within traditional or alternative investment industry.
* Ability to self-motivate, self-manage, independently organize workflows and drive processes without supervision.
* Experience selling technology, software/SaaS and/or platforms.
* Be proactive, creative and enthusiastic with excellent organizational skills and a methodical approach to dealing with a wide range of tasks
* The ability to articulate thoughts and ideas in a clear and confident manner.
* Will need to rapidly gain expert understanding of/ and be able to discuss product suite
* Collaborate with other Apex relationship management and sales teams to provide prospects and clients with the optimal solutions for their business from the Digital Products Group
* Knowledge and understanding of fund administration technology, market & liquidity risk, performance measurement and ESG would be a plus.
* Business and/or accounting or related graduate degree.
* Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
* Have an existing industry network.
* Have a congenial personality and good communication skills to support advanced relationship management with colleagues and clients.
