Enrolled Nurses (Medical Assistant-Defence)
Our client is actively searching for candidates for the role of Medical Assistant (Defence), which involves delivering nursing care across various settings like health, aged care, welfare, and community sectors, under the guidance of Registered Nurses. This position necessitates registration or licencing.
Key Responsibilities:
* The role includes assessing patients' needs, planning, and administering nursing care in line with established nursing protocols.
* Responsibilities also encompass executing treatments and therapeutic interventions, including medication administration, and monitoring the effectiveness of care plans and treatments.
* Supporting Registered Nurses and other team members in the management and assessment of patient care is a critical component of this role.
* Engagement in health education initiatives to prevent ill health is also a key aspect.
* Specific tasks related to newborn care include bathing, feeding, and settling infants, along with offering guidance and training to new parents on infant care.
* The role also involves providing emotional support to new parents.
* Candidates are required to achieve a minimum IELTS score of 5.0, with no less than 4.5 in each component, or an equivalent score in a comparable test.
* Applicants who meet certain criteria may be exempt from the English language proficiency requirement.
Educational and Professional Experience Requirements:
* The desired skill level corresponds to an AQF associate degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2).
* Alternatively, three years of relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications. In some cases, relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to formal qualifications.
* Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Enrolled Nurse is essential.
Skill Assessment:
* The candidate's qualifications and/or experience must be assessed and certified by a relevant authority to ensure they meet or exceed the standards of the relevant Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).
