Our client is a reputable local ACT electrical company specialising in government contracts, focusing on residential renovations and general electrical maintenance with occasional commercial maintenance. Your new role
In your new role you will be responsible for:
* Installing outlets, switches, and lighting fixtures and other key electrical components
* Diagnose and fix electrical issues in residential and commercial properties
* Perform reactive, scheduled, and preventative maintenance tasks
* Replace outdated systems and install modern systems
* Adhere to local electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations
* Perform make safes and reactive call-outs
* Coordinate with upper management, office, and subcontractors
* Maintain accurate records of tasks/inspections and provide reports to clients and supervisors as needed
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this position, you will need to have the following.
* ACT electrical licence (qualified electrician)
* ACT white card, asbestos awareness, and silica awareness
* A valid ACT working with vulnerable people card or ability to obtain
* A valid C class driving licence
* Completed current police check or ability to obtain
* Proven experience in residential renovations and maintenance electrical work
* Strong knowledge of electrical codes and regulations
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team alongside co-workers/other trades
* Excellent problem-solving skills and autonomy in your role
* The ability to participate in an on-call roster for 7 days, including weekend work 1 week every 6 weeks
