Full job description Position Information Kingsgrove North High School is a public comprehensive, coeducational high school in the Canterbury Network of schools. It is a school that offers every student a place to learn, lead and achieve their personal best. Kingsgrove North High School has a current enrolment of 950 students with 92% Non English Speaking Background. Our diverse community includes students from 47 different cultural backgrounds. HSC academic achievements have meant that our high achievers pursue sought after courses at universities of their choice and many other students follow pathways through TAFE and work. The school offers a variety of VET courses to allow students to learn skills in learning spaces that are of industry standard. STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) is a growing area at Kingsgrove North High School and is involved in a Community of Schools. Kingsgrove North High School is involved in a wide range of community partnerships which aim to broaden student learning experiences. The school has also developed strong links with local businesses that have contributed towards improving student learning outcomes. Selection Criteria Approval to teach Food Technology (FTY) and Technology Mandatory (ITX Years 7-8) Proven ability to manage practical work spaces to ensure student safety, participation and high levels of engagement in lessons. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively to contribute to faculty and whole school programs. Conditions An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
