Chandler Macleod are excited to announce our partnership with Pental. As a result of business demand, an opportunity has arisen for a Saponification Plant Operator who has a flair for Safety & Continuous Improvement to join the Pental Manufacturing team in Shepparton!
In this specialised role, you will be responsible for operating the SWING plant to manufacture soap noodles and soap by-products, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate and manage the SWING plant, Soap Drying plant, and associated services to ensure efficient production.
* Monitor and ensure the safe operation of the boiler room and steam supply to the site.
* Oversee the unloading of bulk tanker raw materials, ensuring compliance with delivery documentation.
* Maintain accurate manufacturing documentation at the end of each shift.
* Collaborate with the Production Supervisor to address any process deviations or non-conformances.
* Manage process material reordering and wastage control.
Experience & Qualifications:
* Boiler attendance certification is essential.
* Background in mechanical operations or similar trade experience.
* Understanding of drying plant operations (e.g., atomizers) and plant process control.
* Knowledge of soap and saponification processes is highly desirable.
* Experience with SCADA systems and good computer skills.
* Current Forklift License is required.
