Description Credit Analyst (Agribusiness) - 56138 Permanent position, offering a hybrid working environment Australia – corporate offices How will I help? Working with Agri Relationship Managers and Directors, this development role will involve credit assessment of a range of farming and agribusiness counterparties, including meeting with company executives and professional investors, compilation of credit reviews and providing input into debt sizing and loan structuring. Provide high quality credit work and support deal execution with the right balance of speed and quality. Working collaboratively with your Peers, Product Experts, Relationship Managers, Credit Teams and other Key Stakeholders you will help to initiate and structure a range of banking transactions. There will be scope to be involved in more complex and heavy-weight financial transactions and the opportunity for significant client contact. This role offers a unique blend of analytical and entrepreneurial challenges. Continuously improving and demonstrating an understanding of customers in a defined portfolio to support the achievement of revenue targets. Analysis (risk profiling, financial analysis & related credit submission activities — completing within agreed timeframes to support deal origination) Monitoring (undertaking dynamic risk management of defined customer portfolio incorporating accurate and timely monitoring of covenants, completion of periodic reviews and continuous risk monitoring). Providing effective deal support through accurate and thorough research and analysis. Protecting the Westpac Groups assets by applying sound credit management practices. What’s in it for me? Prior experience in written credit analysis and an ability to present key transaction data and risks in a concise, fluent manner. Cash flow modelling skills would be beneficial, as would commercial awareness/business acumen. A relevant tertiary qualification, preferably in agriculture and/or commerce. Ability to work at a fast pace with a high degree of autonomy, whilst managing multiple priorities. Industry knowledge across a range of Australian farming types and structures, along with a working knowledge of Debt Markets, Transactional Banking, Working Capital Services and Financial Markets would be advantageous. Strong interpersonal and communication skills evidenced by a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships across a broad range of stakeholders. What’s it like to work there?
