With four international offices, our headquarters are in Melbourne, Australia. www.purediary.comAbout the roleThe Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing the maintenance activities of the dairy processing facility to ensure reliable operations, optimal performance, and compliance with safety and food standards. A critical component of the role is overseeing the setup and implementation of the CMS and embedding a robust preventive maintenance culture. The role emphasises the highest standards of food safety, people safety, and operational excellence.Key Accountabilities:Plan, oversee, and execute the maintenance strategy to ensure equipment reliability and minimise downtime.Develop and manage a preventative maintenance program for all equipment, ensuring efficiency in production processes such as processed, shredded, and sliced cheese production.Develop and manage a preventative maintenance program for buildings, grounds, and services.Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues promptly to minimise production disruption.Manage the maintenance budget, including parts, services, and tools procurement.Led the setup, customisation, and implementation of the CMS to ensure seamless integration into factory operations.Train the maintenance team to use the system effectively, including asset management, work orders, and preventive maintenance schedules.Monitor system utilisation and generate reports to drive continuous improvement.Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with food safety standards, including HACCP and GMP requirements.Collaborate with Quality Assurance to address any maintenance-related risks to product quality.Maintain clean and hygienic maintenance practices to prevent contamination.Promote and enforce a strong culture of workplace safety, ensuring adherence to OH&S standards.Lead, mentor, and develop the maintenance team to build technical expertise and operational competence.Conduct safety training and risk assessments for all maintenance-related activities.Identify opportunities for operational improvements in maintenance processes and equipment reliability.Support new equipment installation, commissioning, and calibration activities.Collaborate with production and engineering teams on projects to enhance factory operations.About youWe are looking for someone who:5+ years of experience in maintenance management in the food or dairy industry.Certification in HACCP and/or OH&S (preferred).Proficiency with maintenance software systems.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (highly desirable).This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to bring their experience to a growing and expanding business, with industry-leading facilities.Working with usThe Pure Dairy difference is defined by our people—we take great pride in attracting and retaining the brightest minds in the industry.
