Your new role
Within this diverse department, this role focuses specifically on the management of investigations being conducted at allocated sites and airports. Ideally looking for a candidate with a background in investigations, this role is centred around project management and stakeholder engagement. Additional skills in contract management, procurement, financial management, and risk management are required as this role encompasses the entirety of the project lifecycle.
This role requires creating and leading an approach to record management and contributing to the strategic plan and implementation of the operational strategies within the department. With a strong focus on presenting and integrating stakeholders, this role also requires reporting on the progress of investigations to the necessary task forces and representing the department to stakeholders and other community groups.
Working as part of a national team, you will be responsible for supervising and coaching project officers in the team, including direct reports yourself. Working in a collaborative environment, this role will require collaboration with senior management, as well as potentially with other teams within the department.
What you'll need to succeed
* Australian citizenship
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Experience of the entire project lifecycle including financial and budget management, invoicing, and reporting
* Excellent organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines with required deliverables
* Team management and leadership experience
* Ability to work with a multitude of stakeholders with complex needs
