General Description of the Role
The Pricing and Category Analyst role supports the Category and RGM Team to partner with cross-functional commercial teams to turn data into insights, and motivate action to drive growth.
Mission and Objectives
To supply the Commercial Business partners (Sales, Marketing, CCM) with insights relating to category performance, as well as pricing and promotion that will ensure we maximize our NSV, profitability, and market share. The role also needs to ensure that we equip the Sales team with insights to present to our customers in an engaging and compelling way.
Key Responsibilities and Activities
* Support the development of Campari’s portfolio pricing strategy, with detailed analysis and modeling to provide recommendations.
* Support and deliver inputs into the annual pricing review process.
* Conduct ad hoc analysis to support dynamic and adaptive pricing strategies.
Pack, Mix, Promotional & Trade Investment Strategy
* Support RGM Manager to partner with Channel Marketing Managers in the development of long-term promotional strategy.
* Model volume and financial implications of different Pack, Mix, and Promotional options.
* Provide recommendations on how to optimize our investment in high-potential growth spaces.
* Provide support materials to Sales & Marketing Teams on portfolio prioritization.
Reporting
* Drive Trade ROI capability across Commercial teams.
* Ongoing tracking for portfolio pricing.
Key Relationships
Brand Managers, Head of Brand, Head of Customers, National Account Managers, Key Account Managers, GCCM – Revenue Growth Managers.
Experience Required
* Experience with FMCG manufacturer in Off Premise Channel essential (3+ yrs).
* Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Business, or Economics.
* 2-5 years experience as Business Analyst.
* Proven track record of analytical thinking in Commercial Finance, Sales, or Category teams.
* Strength in building analytical models and processes.
* Highly Proficient in Excel, and experience with other data analytic programs (e.g., Power BI).
* Liquor industry experience highly regarded.
