This privately-owned national construction company has been in business for 10+ years. They have a varied portfolio of projects and are looking for an experienced Contract Administrator to join the team to help assist with the delivery of an exciting Hobart-based project.
Your new role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Contract Administrator to join a dynamic team within a leading construction company on an exciting project. This role is pivotal in managing the financial and commercial objectives of various projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality. As well as but not limited to the following:
* Oversee financial and commercial objectives for projects.
* Collaborate with project delivery teams.
* Support Project Managers and Site Managers.
* Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
* Maintain high-quality standards.
What you'll need to succeed
To be a successful candidate for the role, you will need to have excellent written and verbal communication, an ability to meet deadlines and stay focused under pressure and also possess the following skills and attributes:
* Strong understanding of and commitment to OHS&E principles.
* Basic understanding of the principles of most trades and services.
* Proficient in MS Office Suite and knowledge of systems such as Procore (or equivalent)
* Strong problem-solving abilities.
* Effective relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
* Good organisational skills and ability to multitask.
* Exposure to project methodology.
* Demonstrable experience leading and directing subcontractors.
