About The Role
Roster: Lifestyle roster (5/4, 4/5, 5/5) with 12.5-hour day and night shifts.
Reporting to: Field Maintenance Superintendent.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Leading, coaching, and developing team members by setting clear expectations, monitoring performance, and mentoring others.
2. Managing and executing daily maintenance of a large mobile maintenance fleet.
3. Providing practical input into all relevant short and long-term maintenance plans.
4. Increasing equipment availability and reliability by ensuring all maintenance activities are planned and carried out to a high standard, safely and timely.
5. Assisting the Superintendent in implementing safety and productivity strategies.
6. Playing an active role in all incident investigations under your control.
7. Creating solutions with self-motivation to develop plans for challenges presented in the workplace.
About You
We seek individuals with a proven track record in leading and developing employees, driving safety, maintenance improvement, cost reduction, and equipment performance and selection. As a Field Maintenance Supervisor, you will be capable of operating unsupervised and possess excellent knowledge of mobile plant and NSW coal mining legislation.
Additionally, you will hold:
8. A mechanical trade certificate or tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering.
9. Extensive post-trade or relevant mobile maintenance experience in a mining environment.
10. Previous leadership experience.
11. A strong commitment to health, safety, environment, and community.
12. Strong written and oral communication skills.
13. Proven experience in maintenance planning and condition monitoring.
14. The ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
15. Knowledge of relevant mining legislation, including NSW DII MDGs, codes of practice, and relevant Australian Standards.
