About the Opportunity In this role as a Commis Chef, you will be responsible for assisting with the effective kitchen operation.
This will be achieved by working as a team with other Kitchen staff to collectively provide the appropriate quality and level of service to our members and guests.
Dining options offered at RACV Noosa Resort include: Buffet breakfast in our Arcuri Restaurant, bar service for lunch and dinner, poolside service, in room dining and our popular pizzeria overlooking the infinity pool.
In addition, RACV Noosa Resort caters for large corporate groups utilising our conference and event facilities.

As a Commis Chef, your key responsibilities for the role include: Perform knife skills, mis en place, cooking techniques & duties Produce a consistent high quality product & standard Maintain equipment, utensils and a clean & hygienic kitchen Rotate stock, ensuring minimal wastage Follow directions from senior chefs and work as a team player Follow WHS, policies and procedures Availability and flexibility to work a a variety of shifts: weekdays, nights, weekends & public holidays is preferred for this role.
Typical shift pattern is either: 6.00am - 2.00pm 1.00pm - 9.00pm What you'll need to be successful Completed a Certificate 3 in Cookery qualification, recognised in Australia Previous cooking experience in a 4-5 star hotel/resort or a la carte restaurant environment Developed knife & cookery skills Thrive in a large, busy & fast paced work environment, with efficiency, organisation and attention to detail Strong communication skills, can follow direction and work well in a team environment Committed and a passion for cooking with a strong focus on food quality and presentation Full working rights in Australia.
