Where you’ll be working
Kurri Kurri Hospital offers a vast range of healthcare services, including emergency care, inpatient treatment, operating theatres, and rehabilitation services. The hospital is centrally located, ensuring easy access to high-quality healthcare for both residents and visitors.
About The Role
In this role, you will play an important part in supporting patient care and ensuring a safe environment within our facility.
Responsibilities include:
1. Direct patient contact, assisting in patient care and inner facility transfers
2. Involvement in lifting and moving patients, ensuring personal hygiene needs are met
3. Performing cleaning duties as per established practices to uphold infection control measures
4. Managing challenging patient situations with professionalism, understanding, and empathy
5. Carrying out core security tasks such as customer service, patrols, responding to alarms, and access control
Support:
1. Your direct line manager will be your primary support, with regular contact from the security lead at Maitland Hospital
2. You’ll receive orientation and education to help you in your role
3. Ongoing training including site-specific and manual handling techniques
4. We welcome any requests for further training or quality improvement suggestions
