What you'll be doing
The role of the transporter within the Wollongong Hospital Operating Theatres is to meet the expected high standard of care and commitment to the role and to facilitate optimum patient care and gold standard in service delivery. The role involves working a 7 day a week rotating roster. The position predominately provides transportation of clean and contaminated equipment in transport carts and trolleys between the SSD and Theatres to effectively maintain the flow of instrumentation between the 2 units. The transporter role also includes re-stocking of supplies, re-stocking of back rooms and fluids, general housekeeping, replenishing stores and other duties as directed which are within the competency and training of this position.
