Description
As Senior Manager Finance, you will be responsible for managing an Operations team of 6 staff, responsible for financial planning, analysis, and reporting for Mazda Australia. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's financial strategy, ensuring sound decision-making, and optimizing business performance.
In this role, you will lead budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting while identifying risks and opportunities to drive profitability. You will work closely with senior leadership, providing financial insights that support business growth and strategic initiatives.
Beyond financial management, you will champion continuous improvement in financial processes, drive cost optimisation, and ensure unwavering compliance with Australian accounting regulations and corporate governance policies. This role provides a platform to exert significant influence on key business decisions and contribute to Mazda's sustained success in the competitive Australian market.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous development.
2. Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.

6. Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and corporate policies.
7. Optimise financial processes for efficiency and accuracy.
8. Partner with senior leadership to drive business performance and profitability.
9. Manage internal and external audits.
10. Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies, ensuring effective communication and compliance.
Profile
You are a seasoned finance executive with a proven track record of driving financial excellence and strategic leadership, ideally within the automotive, manufacturing, or consumer goods sectors. A CPA, CA, or equivalent qualification is essential.
Beyond technical expertise, you possess exceptional leadership capabilities, demonstrated by your ability to inspire, motivate, and develop high-performing teams. You are a strategic thinker with a proven ability to influence key stakeholders at all levels, driving alignment and achieving business objectives. Experience with ERP systems and BI Tools is an advantage. Prior experience leading a finance team is essential.
