What does a Civil Engineering Graduate in Community Development do?
* Design Work: Contributing to the design of local and regional infrastructure projects, including roads, subdivisions, and unique initiatives like sporting fields, with a focus on sustainable design.
* Project Coordination: Collaborating with senior engineers, project managers, and other professionals team members for various stages of a project including project concept and planning through detailed design, construction, and commissioning.
* Site Inspections: Visiting construction sites to monitor progress and ensure work is being carried out according to plans and specifications.
* Technical Calculations: Performing calculations and analyses to support design and construction activities.
* Software Utilisation: Using engineering software like AutoCAD, 12D, MUSIC, and other tools to create and modify project plans and designs.
* Documentation: Preparing reports, technical documents, and presentations to communicate project details and progress.
* Client Interaction: Participating in meetings with clients and stakeholders to discuss project requirements and updates.
* Learning and Development: Continuously learning and developing new skills through on-the-job training and professional development opportunities.
About You
* Bachelor of Engineering, Civil preferred.
* Passion for learning and problem-solving.
* Eligible to work in Australia.
* Currently in final year of degree or 1-2 years post-graduation.
* Currently enrolled in engineering degree and seeking long-term work placement as an undergraduate engineer.
