About the Opportunity:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Paediatric Surgery – Ophthalmology team as an Orthoptist. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Providing high-quality ophthalmic care at the Women and Children's Health Network.
* Investigating and managing paediatric ophthalmology and ocular motility conditions.
* Contributing to the effective and efficient operation of Ophthalmology outpatient clinics.
* Participating in community outreach clinics to expand access to specialist screening services within metropolitan Adelaide.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A degree or Master's Degree qualification in Orthoptics which entitles registration with the Australian Orthoptic Board (AOB).
* Eligibility for membership of Orthoptics Australia (OA).
* At least 2 years of paediatric ophthalmology experience post-qualification.
* Experience in the field of paediatric orthoptics, including strabismus, amblyopia, ocular motility, refractive error, and assessment of children with visual impairments.
* The ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with peers and staff at all levels.
* A high level of written and oral communication skills.
* The ability to analyse and interpret clinical data.
