A budget for the formal training and development of staff. About the Opportunity An opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Health Nurse to join our Golden Grove operation in Western Australia. In this role, you will report to the Senior Health, Safety & Training Advisor and work on an 8:6 roster. Your focus will be on providing health care, medical support, and advice to site personnel. Your primary responsibilities will include: Providing medical treatment and first aid on-site, ensuring compliance with relevant procedures, legislation, and medical guidelines. Managing injury treatment, workers' compensation cases, and the development of return-to-work plans in collaboration with the Injury Management Coordinator and external providers. Conducting pre-employment medical assessments, drug and alcohol screenings, and exit medicals, ensuring medical information is accurately documented and maintained. Overseeing the operation and maintenance of the site medical clinic, including medical stock levels, equipment, and facilities. Implementing health surveillance programmes to monitor at-risk personnel, including lead, noise, and lung function monitoring. Coordinating medical response plans, risk assessments, and providing 24-hour on-call medical coverage as required. About You Our ideal candidate will be an experienced nurse with exposure to working in remote areas or in a site-based nursing role. Other key skills, experience, and qualifications: A tertiary qualification in nursing. Experience in triage, including the ability to assess and prioritise patient needs. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook). Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra). Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) competency. Completion of an accredited course in onsite Drug and Alcohol Testing. Current C class driver’s licence (manual).
