Working closely with the Business, Service Integrity and Line 2 Risk teams, the role has a key focus of strengthening our controls through testing coordination, and targeted Quality and Assurance activities.
This role will also support our clients with their MUFG external audit activities, coordinating engagement across internal business units working across the 1^st Line Risk team, where required.
This role will be key in supporting the profile of the team through the development of strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
It will be expected that they will contribute ideas to the development and implementation of a robust First Line Risk management framework in addition to providing constructive recommendations focussed on internal control as well as value add recommendations to help the business achieve its objectives.
We do need passion, enthusiasm, and some on the ground experience in the operational risk, controls and assurance environments is critical.Key Accountabilities and main responsibilitiesWork with the 1st Line Risk Partners and Service Integrity team to identify and address control gaps for non GS007 controls, developing and work with the business to implement associated control self-assessments.Implement a testing schedule.Maintenance of internal GS007 control self-assessment testing, ensuring the business is assigned applicable controls, GRC maintenance, stakeholder communications, control effectiveness reviews.Work with Service Integrity Controls team to identify and build out an approach to non GS007 control gaps.Support the QAS team in the facilitation of the Tier 2 quality reviews.Support the implementation of outcomes of the PWC Controls initiatives.Develop content and cadence for new controls and assurance reporting as required.Perform internal investigations in terms of the risks that are captured by the company and its effect in the operations and the overall functions of different areas of the business.Under the guidance of your manager, develop strategies, processes, and policies that will be helpful for the company's risk management procedures.Provide analysis that will assure that the risk management approach being used by the company in decision-making processes with regards to the business are effective and efficient.In conjunction with your manager, propose and suggest improvements in terms of the risk management processes being used by the company to assure the organisational achievement in this area.Manage and maintain the GRC system from a FLR governance and oversight perspective, ensuring all Risk related tasks & actions are completed on time and to the required level.Help develop the risk culture across the business.Under direction, support the production of analysis in preparation for production of packs & insights for RS Risk Forums.Production of presentations and reporting as and when required.Conduct relevant assurance mapping activities across RS.Establish positive working relationships with key stakeholders in the business and helping to design strategies to enhance decision making, promote a positive culture and drive the effective management of risks within the business.Work with 1st Line Risk Analyst to ensure CPS230 process maps are maintained and current.Governance & RiskEnsure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.Support MUFG assurance programs that deliver effective risk management and compliance practices.Monitor and report on compliance with regulatory requirements to Line Two where require.Experience & Personal AttributesA proven ability to coordinate and manage competing activities, at one time with the ability to prioritise accordingly.Demonstrated knowledge of Risk principles.Personal commitment to, and visible role modelling of, the organisation's behaviours and values.A Risk mindset, with extensive knowledge of Superannuation legislation and regulations.Ability to review and develop strong understanding of complex processes as well as develop recommendations to improve the controls over such processes.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Proven ability to engage stakeholders and effectively manage those relationships.2+ years financial services experience and tertiary qualified (Ideal).2+ years' experience in Operational risk and/or Compliance or related disciplines (Ideal).Able to build strong, open and collaborative working relationships.Strong analytical skills, with the ability to rapidly produce error-free analysis.Some of our Employment BenefitsFlexible working– enabling our employees to work in the office and at home.Purchased Leave, Parental Leave, Volunteer Leave, Gender transition leave, Well-being leave.Employee Recognition Program - to recognise people who are demonstrating our values.Talent Referral Program.Salary Sacrificing via Superannuation.Employee Assistance Program.Learning & Development - Development at your fingertips via self-paced learning, including educational assistance support.Employee discounts – Access discounted rates and offers from a variety of providers including Bupa and Microsoft!Novated Car Leasing.Culture @ MUFG Pension & Market ServicesWe are an inclusive employer whose people work collaboratively.
