Through connection, collaboration, and innovation, they support members to advance the safety and resilience of communities. AFAC has several business units that facilitate a broad range of activities on behalf of its members. These include professional services, aircraft contract management, cross border deployment of emergency services personnel and other nationally significant activities such as management of the national conference and National Emergency Services Memorial. About the Role – Web Project Manager We are currently underway with our Web Transformation Project which is aimed at ensuring the timely delivering of high-quality web solutions and effective collaboration between multi-disciplinary teams and SMEs within AFAC. The project comprises of two stages: (1) establishing a new web platform and CRM including all back end systems, software and databases, and (2) expansion of the online offering within AFAC by assessing, planning and overseeing the implementation of features including member collaboration, LMS integration, events integration as well as the transition and augmentation of other AFAC online sites to the new web platform. The Project Manager is expected to manage the completion of stage 1 and the assessment, business case, planning and delivery of stage 2 within a 12-month period, as well as supporting the IT team with other projects. Responsibilities Manage the Web Transformation project to meet deadlines, effectively manage resources and work within capacity constraints and budget. Develop and communicate project artefacts and documentation including project plans, technical specifications, project Kanban boards, sprint backlogs, risk registers, status reports and others. Build on a culture of collaboration and clear communication with stakeholders by providing regular cross organisational project updates and setting and iterating goals. Plan, establish and run working groups required to gather requirements, showcase features and facilitate decision making and organisational change. Evaluate business requirements to establish project work packages while managing stakeholder expectations. This will include liaising with design, development and content teams to translate requirements into project deliverables. Manage testing of solutions to ensure they meet acceptance levels for user and business requirements. Plan and manage 'go-live' activities, including early life support. About You This role would suit an individual who has had exposure to both technical and business projects. You may currently be in a Senior Project Officer/Coordinator role within an IT or Business function having worked closely with business stakeholders such as Marketing and Communications teams. This is a hands-on role within a small team and organisation and will require someone who is highly self-motivated and driven with excellent stakeholder management skills. The successful applicant also will possess: Up to two years' experience supporting web projects. Studies in computer science, engineering, or another relevant discipline. Knowledge of both agile and waterfall project methodology, including planning sprints, running stand ups, presenting showcases, flexible sprint planning and retrospectives using project management tools, such as Jira or the like. Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Understanding of how functional and non-functional requirements are used to create work packages within a project.
