The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking Expression of Interests from highly motivated Project Managers working in the satellite communication technology field, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of programs within the Mission IT and Security Solutions (MITSS) line of business. This role involves managing internal and external stakeholders, coordinating teams, and ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Reporting to a Senior Program Manager, you will be responsible for managing project schedules, quality of deliverables, achievement of outcomes, assignment of resources, customer satisfaction, and ensuring projects are delivered within budget.
All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active NV1 clearance.
The key responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to:
1. Program Leadership: Provide direction and leadership, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
2. Project Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of the project, from initiation to completion, ensuring efficient resource allocation, risk mitigation, and milestone achievement.
3. Documents and Deliverables: Draft and contribute to all required document deliverables such as Support Services Management Plan, Performance Measurement Reports and the Program Execution plan.
4. Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate program progress, risks, and successes to internal and external stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and alignment of expectations.
5. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure program success, including compliance with regulatory standards and security protocols.
6. Financial Oversight: Monitor program budgets, expenses, and resource allocation, ensuring fiscal responsibility and cost-effectiveness throughout the program lifecycle.
7. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and efficiencies within program management, leveraging lessons learned for future initiatives.
8. Build and maintain relationships with clients and key stakeholders internally and externally.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Essential:
9. Excellent business acumen and a commercially minded approach
10. Well-developed leadership skills and experience
11. Proven ability to effectively manage relationships with key senior stakeholders both internally and externally in a Defence/ Defence Industry environment.
12. Results oriented and proven ability to drive sustained business growth through successful delivery to high standards.
13. Demonstrated experience in governance and compliance of programs of work and effectively managing and overseeing multiple schedules, budgets and teams to achieve success
14. Strong influencing, negotiation and interpersonal skills
15. Extensive experience delivering and overseeing delivery of complex projects in a Defence or Defence Industry environment
16. Extensive & relevant network across Defence and Federal government with market/industry knowledge and expertise
17. Proven experience with project management of multi-disciplined teams
18. NV1 Australian Government security clearance
Desirable:
19. Experience delivering complex IT projects
20. Experience in the field of satellite communication technology
21. Agile delivery experience
