YOUR NEW ROLE You will enjoy working as an integral team member, delivering exceptional customer service to clients and accurate, reliable support to technicians and tradespersons. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will demonstrate flexibility and efficiency in the diverse tasks assigned to you, which include: Provide a high standard of customer service to clients requiring servicing, repairs, commissioning installation of pumps and pumping equipment; clearly communicate arrangements with clients; Co-ordinating, scheduling, and supporting technicians and tradespersons for the repairs, periodic servicing and commissioning of pumps and pumping systems both in-house and onsite; Purchasing pumps, spare parts and associated pumping equipment; arranging necessary transport; Generate accurate reports, quotations, communications, and invoices to clients; Provide technical support and troubleshooting via phone, email, and messaging to clients and technicians; Create new business by generating periodic maintenance programs for pumping systems; Generate warranty reports and liaise with clients; Manage health and safety systems and procedures relating to service, repairs, commissioning, and installations of pumping equipment; Be available to provide support outside of business hours; If other technicians are not available, carry out servicing, repairs, commissioning, and installation of pumps; pumping equipment may be required; Your previous safety training provides a solid foundation for your safety-first attitude, and you are competent and confident to work in high-risk workshops and on-site environments; Your strong focus and commitment to quality control are aligned with the company’s values and ethics. YOUR PROFILE You have gained at least five years of experience servicing pumps, pumping systems, and pump controllers. It is not essential, but it will be advantageous if you hold a current LF ticket, an Electrical Trade Certificate, Connect/Disconnect Restricted Electrical Licence, a Confined Space Certificate, Fitter Trade Certificate, or Millwright Trade Certificate. Your knowledge and experience include the following: Broad understanding of different types and brands of pumps, pumping systems, and associated equipment, including various types of pump controllers; High level of competence with using IT, including PCs, laptops, and programs including Windows, Microsoft Office programs, ERPs including Odoo; Excellent communication skills – clearly articulate instructions to technicians, diligently provide information and updates to clients; Schedule service work efficiently; Effectively manage and co-ordinate technicians to maximise their performance, provide support, and inspire confidence and loyalty in the service team; Troubleshooting pumps and pumping equipment, electrical controllers, and pump installations; Writing up assessments and reports; Generating invoices for completed work; Developing new business, including regular maintenance programs. While you usually will not be required to do the ‘hands-on’ work, it will be an advantage if you have the knowledge and ability to: - o Dismantle, inspect, repair, and re-assemble a range of different types of pumps and associated mechanical equipment; o Assemble valves, pipe fittings, and manifolds; o Install guide rail systems, pipework, and valves to reinforced fibreglass and polyethylene pump wells, fibreglass modifications; o Safe operation of a forklift in a high-risk warehouse environment, 9.0-metre pallet racking (Ride and Reach preferred) and unloading shipping containers using a short mast forklift.
