What is our Area Dental Therapist role? This position provides dental care for enrolled school children in school-based Dental Therapy Centres.
Assists Area Dental Officers with administration and clinical quality control.
Duties also include, but are not limited to, giving guidance and support to Dental Therapists and Dental Clinic Assistants, and providing presentations on oral health to individuals, schools, community groups, and health professionals.
Central 4 is a new area; this opportunity will allow the successful applicant to have a major impact on setting up the new area and creating a new team dynamic.
Central 4 consists of clinics: Camboon, Dianella, Leederville Mobile, Hillcrest, Mt Lawley, Tuart Hill, and Subiaco Mobile.

Area Profile DHS is part of the North Metropolitan Health Service (NMHS) and is the largest public dental health services provider in WA, operating state-wide from a network of fixed and mobile clinics, funded by the WA Government.
DHS provides the School Dental Service for children aged 5-16 years, General Dental Services to eligible adults with a current health care card or pension concession card, Subsidy Schemes, and Special Dental Services.
