Position Summary We are searching for a highly motivated and experienced Director of Human Resources to guide our dedicated sales team and significantly enhance revenue growth for our Hotel. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional strategic thinking abilities and a proven history of achieving outstanding results in the luxury hospitality sector. This role requires visionary leadership and the capacity to implement effective sales strategies that resonate with high-end clientele and elevate the overall guest experience. Your Key Responsibilities Lead and inspire the team to deliver seamless, upscale guest experiences across all event-related services. Cultivate and nurture client relationships, actively seeking opportunities for new business and repeat engagements. Ensure sales activities align with the Corporate Marketing Strategy and implement Hotel Actions where appropriate. Strategically analyse business performance for accurate and meaningful forecasting, involving relevant Heads of Department. Proactively manage sales resources and funds while controlling departmental costs. To maintain a competitive edge, monitor and evaluate local, national, and international market trends and competitor hotels' sales initiatives. Attend significant travel, trade, and corporate functions to network and promote the Hotel. Plan and execute sales trips based on business priorities. Ensure high exposure for the Hotel through direct sales solicitation, telephone contact, and written communication. Manage all sales strategy, tactics, and action implementations using the Smart Selling approach to build a strong, disciplined sales team that achieves sales goals. Talent Profile A hospitality management diploma or bachelor's degree in events management is preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in similar roles within luxury hotels or resorts is essential. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with CRM and Property Management Systems (e.g., Opera Cloud) and other Hotel related systems. Strong interpersonal skills. Strong command of written and spoken English. Full-time valid working rights in Australia.
