Business Development Manager
Are you looking to influence prospects in a rapidly growing industry? Our growing Commercial team is looking for a Business Development Manager for the journey of generating opportunities in Australia, both in and outbound. This is a full-time permanent hybrid position that can be based either in the Sydney or Melbourne office.
As the Australian office’s closure period is until 3 January 2025, the recruitment process will start from 6 January 2025 onwards. The Talent Acquisition team will be in touch upon returning from our shutdown period.
About the role:
As our Business Development Manager (Commercial), you will collaborate with the Operations team and offshore team closely in supporting any new client onboarding process. The predominant focus is on Australia-based multinational corporations. What will you be working on?
* Identify and land high-value multi-national company new logos to expand Vistra’s customer base and increase market share.
* Nurture leads and develop initial relationships with prospects, develop a deep understanding of customer needs and proactively apply product and market knowledge to sell insightful, innovative solutions.
* Develop and execute a strategic plan for new logo acquisition to ensure targets are met and exceeded, creating individual strategic acquisition plans for priority new logo prospects.
* Ensure timely, seamless transitions of leads from Marketing Development Reps, providing regular feedback on lead quality to continuously improve the pipeline.
* Leverage Subject Matter Experts to provide the technical expertise & knowledge to sell insightful, innovative solutions during the time of sale.
* Collaborate with EAM and SME to negotiate and close new business, ensuring smooth account transitions after the initial sale.
* With the support of the Onboarding team (offshore and local Operations Administrator team) to guarantee effortless handoffs and white glove service is provided once the initial deal is closed/won.
You may be a great fit if you have:
* Bachelor’s degree such as Accounting, Legal or Company Secretarial qualification (highly desired)
* A minimum of 7 years of B2B Business Development experience in Corporate / MNCs.
* Experience and success in a similar sales/business development role.
* Commercial knowledge of payroll, accounting and/or company secretarial services.
* Demonstrated ability to identify, prospect, convert and deliver new revenue.
* A self-starter with an established intermediary network and direct client relationships with potential new business opportunities.
* Excellent network and market knowledge across the Australian corporate sector (highly desirable)
