THE OPPORTUNITY This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Supervisor-level external auditor to join the firm's independent team, specialising in audit, assurance and risk advisory services. As the firm continues to expand, they are seeking a talented individual to support their assurance and risk advisory team from a different location, contributing to their ongoing growth and success. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provision of financial statement and statutory audits Oversee and monitor the workflow of junior staff members Perform audits according to International Standards for accuracy and compliance Oversee and conduct audit engagements in line with Australian Auditing and Accounting Standards Conduct financial statement audits, reviews, and specific procedures for diverse entities Act as a trusted client contact, addressing inquiries and collaborating with external agencies Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of standards EXPERIENCE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or related field Progressing or completed CA ANZ or CPA accreditation PR or Citizenship, or in process of obtaining within 6 months for security clearance needed in government and Not-for-Profit (NFP) assignments Proactive team player with recent external audit experience Proven track record of delivering high-quality audit engagements Strong project management skills and ability to perform under pressure Exceptional communicator with methodical problem-solving abilities Thorough understanding of accounting and auditing standards THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE Enjoy flexible work options and an extra day off each year Flourish in a supportive environment with a flat leadership structure and open-door policy Develop your skills and career with ongoing learning opportunities and support for accreditations Prioritise your wellbeing with regular wellness and an Employee Assistance Program Engage in exciting social events and referral programs for rewards HOW TO APPLY Ready to take on this opportunity?
