Job ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the assigned workforce to deliver high quality capital projects and town and facility maintenance operations with focus on engineering and construction.Provide leadership and management support across the organisation in support of the General Manager. Including in relation to Council operations and strategy.Lead the delivery of projects in an effective and efficient manner, in compliance with Council standards, policies, relevant codes and industry practices and to meet budget, time, quality and environmental constraints.Lead asset management, including leading the design of asset management systems and the implementation of asset management plans.Lead and manage waste removal services, including the operation of landfill and waste transfer stations.Essential ExperienceManaging and leading multiple diverse teams, including the ability to develop high performing teams.Effective management of a program of multiple complex projects within time and resource constraints.Project management, specifically handling multiple complex capital projects within constraints.Providing, long-term management of assets, including the creation and implementation of long-term asset strategies, asset management plans, asset management systems and long-term maintenance plans.Financial management of projects and operations, including the ability to; create and manage multiple budgets, implement cost reductions programs, and design and implement productivity improvements.Demonstrated Skills and ValuesAbility to develop policies, systems, long-term plans and projects based on high-level strategy.High-level problem-solving ability including the ability to seek innovative solutions in a collaborative environment.High-level written and verbal communication and consultation skills.Lead with accountability, courage and integrity.Personal development and performance, including that of the team.A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.Certification or membership in a relevant professional organization (e.g., Engineer, Project Manager).A qualification in Management or Leadership.Proficiency in IT and business systems, including Excel, Word, MS Project, GIS programs (e.g., MapInfo), and plant maintenance systems (e.g. MEX, Dynamic Nav).To ApplyApplications must be on the prescribed form, indicating the position you are applying for, include resume, cover letter and addressing the selection criteria outlined in the Position Description and emailed to The Employment Information Package and Application Form are available to download Applications close at 5 pm Sunday 2 February 2025.
