The Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement Program is responsible for driving operational efficiency and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the organization. This program will drive Operational Excellence across all customer facing departments, achieving customer experience, efficiency, and risk reduction targets, and is key to enabling the Cover-More “Operations Vision”.
So, what’s the job?
1. You'll enhance and maintain the PMO framework, tools, templates, and processes.
2. You'll assist in implementing PMO processes and policies across target business functions.
3. You'll drive continuous improvement within the PMO to boost project delivery and reporting, as well as develop training programs to strengthen capabilities for project management staff.
4. You'll implement lessons learned and best practices across the project portfolio.
5. You'll monitor project compliance with company policies, procedures, and best practices, ensure project goals align with business objectives and track KPIs and milestones.
6. You'll collaborate with project managers to create structured tracking programs for all projects.
7. You'll provide financial management support by consolidating reports on costs and benefits.
8. You'll track and consolidate portfolio performance data, providing insightful reports to leadership.
9. You'll identify and manage risks across the portfolio, working with project managers to develop mitigation strategies.
10. You'll build effective relationships with stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment with business goals.
And what are we looking for?
11. You'll have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field, providing you with a solid educational foundation for the role.
12. You'll ideally hold a professional certification in Project Management, such as PMP, CAPM, or PRINCE2, which will enhance your project management expertise.
13. You'll bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in using Project Management software tools to effectively manage and track projects.
14. You'll have experience in a PMO role, ideally within the Financial Services or Insurance industry, which will provide valuable industry-specific insights.
15. You'll have outstanding written communication skills, with an advanced understanding of business documentation requirements, ensuring clear and concise reports and communications.
16. You'll excel in stakeholder management, ensuring effective collaboration and maintaining strong relationships with key business and project stakeholders.
