More about the actual role: Your role is to support people with disability to go about their daily lives in the way they want by giving the support and assistance they need when they need it. Support activities will include:
cooking – everybody deserves to eat well so we’re looking for good cooks
cleaning and household chores – yes, this is most definitely a part of the job
gardening – that weeding has to get done but maybe plant some flowers or grow some veggies while you are at it
personal care and complex bowel care– an intimate service that needs to be provided in a dignified way
emotional support – because sometimes the world can be a scary place
getting out and about – more than just coffee, appointments and shopping although this needs to be done too
transport – which may be your vehicle or a specialist access vehicle
