Working as part of a dedicated team, you will enhance the dining experience of our residents by sharing your culinary skills and championing our values to meet our mission of supporting people in their choice of health, wellbeing and lifestyle. Your role as a Catering Assistant will contribute greatly to enriching the lives of our residents by ensuring appetizing and nutritious meals are provided, promoting a positive and enjoyable dining experience for all. What are the key responsibilities? Duties may include but not be limited to: Food handling and preparation Plating and serving of meals Ensuring on time delivery of quality meals Basic record keeping (e.g. number of meals per day, missed meals) in consultation with the Chief Cook Cleaning of dishes, kitchen workspace, equipment, utensils and fixtures Ensure kitchen and equipment is maintained in a safe, hygienic and tidy manner What will you bring to the role? Experience working in Aged Care/Hospital commercial kitchen (desired) You will demonstrate compassion, sensitivity and maturity to provide high quality meals Attention to detail and ability to follow both verbal and written instructions Good knowledge of food safety (preferable HACCP) Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and to manage your time effectively Who is Southern Cross Care?
