What success looks like in this role:
Responsibilities:
1. As a Network Architect, you will play a vital role in leading enterprise network transformation engagements. Your primary responsibility will be to architect and design network & security solutions that align with business requirements and industry trends.
2. Utilize your expertise to translate business requirements into high-level technical specifications, taking into account the latest technology advancements and customer needs.
3. Develop comprehensive technical design documentation, including high-level designs, low-level designs, bill of materials (BoM), and configuration templates.
4. Contribute to ‘Application Migration to Cloud’ and ‘Cloud Connectivity’ projects.
5. Act as a trusted technical authority and actively contribute to the planning and execution of implementations and migrations, ensuring seamless transitions and successful outcomes.
6. Foster a culture of knowledge sharing by mentoring junior engineers and providing support during incidents, promoting growth and capability development.
7. Effective Communication and Stakeholder management. Ensure both Internal and External stakeholders are provided necessary information about Project Status, Issues, Risks and Change Requests.

Skills:
8. Leverage your solid experience in enterprise network architecture to drive large-scale infrastructure transformation projects, encompassing enterprise networking, data centres, and cloud environments.
9. Demonstrate your proven track record in designing and implementing routing, switching, firewalling, proxy, VPN, and other data centre network technologies.
10. Proficiency in designing and implementing DC routing/switching solutions using leading vendors' technologies such as Cisco (preferred) and Juniper.
11. Proficiency in designing and implementing next-generation firewalls from leading vendors like Palo Alto, Cisco, and Fortinet.
12. Demonstrate your ability to design and implement software-defined solutions & automation (DC/WAN/LAN) using cutting-edge technologies from Cisco, VMware, Palo Alto, Ansible, among others.
13. Utilize your strong exposure to multi-vendor technologies in enterprise networks, showcasing your ability to design and implement solutions that integrate seamlessly.
14. Leverage your exceptional documentation and presentation skills, ensuring high-quality deliverables that effectively communicate complex technical concepts.
15. Utilize your project management skills and ITIL knowledge, particularly in change management, to drive successful project outcomes.
Essential Skills and Experience:
16. Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Network Architecture capacity, showcasing your in-depth knowledge and understanding of the field.
17. Would ideally suit someone who is either a senior network engineer looking to move into an architect role/ someone with couple of years of experience as a network architect and wanting to grow more in such a role. This is very much a hands-on role.
18. A strong command of Cisco technologies and configurations within enterprise-scale environments, enabling you to design and implement robust solutions.
19. A strong command of Palo Alto/Fortinet technologies and configurations within enterprise-scale environments, enabling you to architect secure and scalable network solutions.
20. A deep knowledge of Cisco ACI, EVPN VXLAN, Cisco SDWAN, BGP Protocol, Routing and Switching, enabling you to provide end-to-end network architecture inputs.
21. Demonstrate your ability to present solutions to stakeholders effectively, future-proof designs, and implement innovative solutions.
Preferred Certifications:
• CCNP, CCIE (or equivalent), PMP, ITIL.
Other Must Haves:
• Australian Citizen is a must with Security Clearance preferred but not mandatory. But the applicant should be eligible to obtain a NV1 clearance if and when needed in future.
