Rewarding Indigenous Health opportunity in the heart of the Kimberley, strictly population health remote visits, no ED or on-call.
Ongoing dates from 8th December 2025; continuity of care is valued in this role, so returning doctors are preferred. You'll be visiting up to 5 remote communities in the Fitzroy Valley per week, accessed by land unless the weather is bad, then you will fly in small planes. Mon-Thu network visits; Fridays are for admin/work in Fitzroy Community Health. Duration: 08/12/2025 - 01/01/2027
Pay rate: $2100 Per day
Conditions: Remote Indigenous Health experience is essential for this critical role that will challenge your skillset, with an emphasis on treating chronic health and providing care in remote settings. Support is provided by AHPs and nursing staff, with other GPs/DMOs in the referral hospital for support. This is a Monday-Friday position with 1x day per week spent in Fitzroy Crossing (Fridays) and the rest visiting communities in Fitzroy Valley. Secure accommodation and travel from anywhere in Australia is provided. Longer locum periods are desirable, with a minimum of 3-weeks commitment. Credentials: FRACGP or FACRRM, Specialist AHPRA registration. Recent AMS/Indigenous Health experience is desirable; chronic health experience is necessary.
