About the Business Unit: This is an exciting opportunity to deliver a major new initiative for victims of crime. The Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS) is a landmark reform that is replacing the judicially based Victims of Crime Assistance Tribunal with an administrative scheme that prioritises the needs of victims and supports their recovery from violent crime. The FAS is highly anticipated by victims and stakeholders and represents a major leap forward in the government's response to victims of crime. Established under the Victims of Crime (Financial Assistance Scheme) Act 2022 the FAS will provide financial assistance through a simple and easy to navigate process that is fair, sensitive, and responsive to victims' needs. It will acknowledge the harm done and be trauma informed, inclusive, and culturally safe. About the Role: Reporting to the Project Director – Scheme Delivery, you will work closely with the project team and the Financial Assistance Scheme business unit to develop the processes and systems used by the FAS. Some of your duties will include: Gathering business requirements to inform the development of IT systems Delivering Service Design products and other project documentation within a large and complex project Writing Standard Operating Procedures and other procedural work instructions. About You: As our ideal candidate, you will possess: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Advanced skills in MS Office Experience in supporting a team to deliver a Customer Relationship Management or customer improvement transformation objective Experience in tracking and reporting on project activities, delivering results and to timelines Experience in process mapping and/or writing process documentation is desirable Experience or interest in human-centred design and/or systems thinking is desirable.
