The Institute for Musculoskeletal Health is seeking a Research Assistant to support Professor Anne Tiedemann and her team focussing on physical activity, ageing and disability research. We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Research Assistant to join the team, built around professional and academic researchers and clinicians. In this role, you will perform research-related work in a Clinical Trials environment. Your key responsibilities will be to: provide assistance in various stages of clinical trials, such as participant recruitment, screening, and follow-up support data collection and entry, ensuring data quality and accurate maintenance of trial records including collection and processing of physical activity data using activity monitor devices administer reporting processes, maintain accurate data within university systems, and contribute to ensuring the team's compliance with standard regulations and project protocols coordinate and check the adherence to ethics guidelines, standards, and WHS requirements during clinical trials facilitate personable communication with a broad range of stakeholders, and collaborate with team members to continuously improve stakeholder relations comply with health and safety standards at all times, and complete any ad-hoc tasks, objectives, or activities outlined by your Senior or Team Lead About you Bachelor’s degree in science, health, allied health, medicine and equivalent relevant experience ability to work onsite with a passion for working on various clinical trials proven computer literacy and proficiency in using various research and administrative software applications, that may include Microsoft Suite, advanced level REDCap and other relevant software excellent written and spoken communication skills to communicate efficiently and effectively with a broad range of stakeholders, including team members, and study participants from diverse backgrounds and physical impairments. demonstrated strong problem-solving and organisational skills using initiative and exercising sound judgement with the ability to prioritise workload during busy periods strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with a focus on building inclusive and supportive work relationships, and ability to work independently clinical research skills and willingness and determination to undertake clinical training required for the role.
