A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced Perioperative Nurse to step into the role of Theatre Floor Manager within the fast-paced and high-performing Perioperative Unit. It is a permanent part-time shift work position.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Theatre Floor Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Perioperative Unit. That position requires being a strong, hands-on manager who can drive performance while supporting both staff and patients. You will take responsibility for 15 operating theatres running elective and emergency procedures. Working with floor managers and neighboring units, you will ensure smooth daily operations across the complex. The role requires collaborating with all theatre stakeholders to deliver excellent care that meets best practice standards and legal requirements. You will need to be equally comfortable working independently or as part of the leadership team.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse;
* Extensive current clinical practice in perioperative role;
* Desirable previous theatre floor management experience;
* Ability to build rapport with VMOs and staff;
* Commitment to improvement and excellence in the delivery of outcomes;
* OHS responsibility and leadership in risk minimisation;
* Ongoing activity analysis;
* Demonstrated ability to effectively manage resources and experience in implementing sustainable change.
