The Role
This newly created role will be responsible for leading the Audience and Marketing Data team, with a key focus to drive strategic business decision making by automating, optimising, innovating and aligning audience data across the ABC.
The Job
* Lead, manage and mentor the Audience and Marketing Data team to achieve a shared understanding and commitment of team objectives.
* Lead the development of the ABC-wide Audience and Marketing Data Strategy to support rapid insights development, automated marketing, marketing measurement and media buying activities.
* Lead the ABC’s self-service data visualisation capability for Audience and Marketing Data to ensure simple Audience data needs are in the hands of business decision makers.
* Work with our modern cloud-based data platforms – AWS and SnowFlake and Agile ETL processes to support the data visualisation platforms.
* Collaborate with key stakeholders within the Product and Technology Division to ensure that Audience requirements are fed into the strategic and tactical planning processes for data and technology decisions.
* Provide high-level technical leadership and advise on highly complex/specialist projects to ensure achievement of divisional milestones and objectives.
About You
You have significant experience in the leadership and development of teams, with highly developed relationship management and communication skills, and experience in negotiating, influencing and liaising with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders to achieve strategic outcomes.
You will be able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of data warehousing architecture and enterprise data platforms both on-premises and multi-cloud services such as AWS S3 and Snowflake, Advanced Python, R, MS SQL Servers and Google Analytics and Big-Query.
You’ll also have high proficiency in data solutioning and products available in the market and experience working with big data solutions such as Amazon Web Services, Redshift Spectrum, Athena, Google Analytical Suites, Hadoop, Hive and MapReduce.
You possess highly developed planning, organisational and project management skills.
