The Role
Provide inpatient and outpatient services to Medical department
Contribute to the development of physician trainees and resident medical officers
Manage on a day-to-day basis the associated multidisciplinary patient care team
The Hospital
The Medical Ward is a 16-bed unit that predominantly cares for patients in the areas of general medicine, including those with cardiac, respiratory, endocrine, neurological, and renal ailments. The ward also specialises for those who require palliative care services and the hospital contains a 10-chair Renal Unit and a 6-chair Cancer Care Unit. Specialist outreach patient services are managed from the hospital, which is the major hub for Telehealth services across the entire north-west service area, with five primary health care clinics and six hospital sites having access to 24/7 medical and nursing and midwifery support for the advice and management of lower risk emergency department presentations and other outpatient care.
