If you are, then the new Yarrabing Secondary College is looking for Education Support Staff to join the school.
About Us
Yarrabing Secondary College (formerly known as Aintree Secondary School (interim name)) will open day one of Term 1 in 2024 and provide the growing local population with great educational opportunities close to home. It will be able to enrol up to 550 students when the first stage of the school is complete.
Our school will be culturally diverse with 60% of students having a language background other than English (LOTE) spoken in the family home. We strive to provide a nurturing and challenging environment that empowers students to reach their personal best, both academically and socially.

Role
Hours of work: 8.40am to 3.15pm - Monday to Friday (5 days a week) - school terms only.
An education support class position at this range will perform tasks that are carried out in accordance with guidelines, accepted practice, and school policy under supervision and direction.
* Specific support tasks to achieve outcomes.
* Assisting teachers, within an educational program.
* Supervised health and wellbeing support tasks.
* Technical tasks that require a sound knowledge of basic technical and/or scientific principles.
Responsibilities
* Provides routine support for teachers including assisting with planning of student routines.
* Supports communication between teachers and parents.
* Provides basic physical care and wellbeing support for students.
* Provides basic support and supervision for individuals or groups of students.
* Supports teachers in the coordination of educational programs.
