What’s the role?
11. Provide high quality clinical services to individuals, couples, families, and children
12. Deliver services that are appropriate, sensitive, and respectful for a diverse range of people from a variety of different backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities
13. Meet RA-NT’s targets for completing counselling sessions and other activities as per position requirements
14. Support the referral process when engaging with other community agencies and service providers
15. Co-facilitate relationship education courses as and when required
16. Promote RA-NT’s services where appropriate, through professional and community networking opportunities
Is this the right role for you?
17. Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or equivalent
18. Eligibility ‘only’ for APS, AASW or other equivalent counsellor/therapist professional membership
19. A satisfactory Northern Territory working with children check and a satisfactory national criminal history check
20. Qualifications in couple and/or family therapy
21. Experience in delivering quality customer service to a diverse range of people, including but not limited to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse, LGBTIQ+ and people with disabilities
may be able to offer to health professionals who are relocating to the NT or moving within the NT to a greater remoteness area classification for the purposes of employment and further clinical education.
