Help us lead the way, while enriching your career with real people who encourage you to bring your best and make real impact – for your career, our communities, and Australia’s cleaner energy future.An exciting opportunity has become available for a Gas Regulation & Policy Manager.This role will see you driving the regulatory and policy agenda for AusNet’s gas business, working closely with the rest of the gas team and building relationships with relevant stakeholders to influence government and regulator decisions.With a hybrid split (Office/WFH), this role is based in Southbank, Melbourne and is part of the Gas, Strategy & Regulation team.This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:Develop a clear policy agenda to achieve positive outcomes for AusNet’s gas business, consistent with AusNet’s strategy by providing policy advice to various stakeholders across the business.Shape regulatory strategy for price reviews and other regulatory processes.Support the price review key strategies and objectives to deliver the desired overall business strategy.Lead advocacy on agreed policy and regulatory advocacy areas with AER, ESC, ESV, AEMC, and other external agencies, regulatory bodies, policymakers, and stakeholders.Develop professional relationships with regulatory bodies, industry participants, political offices, policymakers, and other stakeholders to enhance the company’s reputation and influence their thinking and decisions.You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:Experience working in policy development, including ability to distil various stakeholder positions and develop advocacy strategy.Deep knowledge of energy markets, policy, and regulation matters (in electricity transmission, electricity distribution, gas distribution, or utilities sectors).Outstanding written and strong verbal communication skills to influence mutually beneficial outcomes.Existing relationships with key stakeholders in government or regulators advantageous.Proactive and can-do attitude, flexible, ability to work under time pressure and respond to changes in priorities.Strong interpersonal skills and good ability to plan, organise and consult with cross-functional and diverse background of stakeholders.A real place to belong.We celebrate unique voices, refreshing perspectives and diversity in our team.
