About the Role
Support Workers are at the forefront of delivering quality care services in accordance with the needs of our clients.
We require Support Workers to undertake a variety of tasks to support clients to continue living at home and accessing their community. This can include tasks both in the home and out in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist clients to access community facilities or appointments
* Provide carers with general respite and at times overnight respite
* Support clients with shopping and other daily activities
* Provide quality personal care assistance such as showering and dressing
* Provide assistance with housework and other areas of daily living including preparation of meals
Requirements:
* A strong desire to provide quality service and the ability to make connections and build relationships so that you are welcomed into a client's home
* Flexibility and ability to be adaptive
* Highly professional and able to act in a compassionate, non-judgmental manner
* Previous experience working and supporting older clients and/or clients with disabilities
* NDIS Workers Screening Check
* Current CPR with at least 3 months until expiry and First Aid with at least 12 months until expiry
* Current driver's license and own transport vehicle with insurance
* Minimum availability of 3 days per week
* Must have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in line with the Victorian Government Public Health Directions
Desirable Qualifications:
* Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability Care or higher
* Knowledge and experience in a similar industry or position
* Fluency in a second language
