As a Cook at Wodonga TAFE’s Kids on Campus Childcare Centre, you’ll be an integral member of our dynamic and supportive team, dedicated to providing exceptional service to the children of our local community. Your primary role will be to prepare and serve high-quality food, all while ensuring a safe, hygienic, and friendly environment.
Kids on Campus provides a nurturing and stimulating setting for children aged from infancy to kindergarten. As part of Wodonga TAFE, our childcare centre serves both staff and students, as well as the wider community. We are committed to promoting a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment for all children, including those with disabilities and from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Selected Duties:
* Prepare fresh, healthy, and nutritious meals that delight and nourish the children.
* Ensure adherence to safe food handling practices, maintaining high standards.
* Plan, assemble, and check daily menus to meet catering requirements and timeframes.
* Perform general pantry duties – stock, pack, and ensure items are stored correctly.
* Maintain a clean and efficient kitchen environment.
ABOUT YOU
Skills & Experience

* Experience in a commercial kitchen.
* A Statement of Attainment in Australian Food Safety Supervisor (Community Services) or a willingness to obtain one.
* A commitment to customer service excellence, inclusion, and diversity.
* An eagerness to be part of a collaborative team that values continuous learning and improvement.
* Desirable: A Certificate in Commercial Cookery.
