SPEECH PATHOLOGIST – Grade 2
Community Allied Health Team
Permanent Part Time - 16 hours per fortnight

We are seeking the expertise of a qualified Speech Pathologist to provide services to our diverse range of clients in the Community Allied Health Team at West Gippsland Healthcare Group.
This exciting role would suit Speech Pathologists with experience in assessment, diagnosis, therapy and management of groups and individuals with communication and/or swallowing disorders. The successful applicant will have the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team across outpatient and community settings. This position requires excellent assessment, organisation, communication, and interpersonal skills for the ongoing care of clients with communication and/or swallowing disorders.
The Speech Pathologist will be based at the Community Allied Health facility located at Gladstone Street.
Our preferred candidates will have:
* A Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology or recognised equivalent.
* Eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA).
* A thorough understanding of Speech Pathology services to clients with communication and swallowing disorders.
* Basic to intermediate computer literacy skills.
* A current driver’s license.
The following experience/qualifications would be considered advantageous:
* Current membership of Speech Pathology Australia (SPA).
* Previous experience within a hospital, community health, NDIS or HACC setting.
* Previous experience in the provision of speech pathology services to clients with communication and/or swallowing disorders.
* Experience in the administration and interpretation of Videofluoroscopy.
* Experience completing assessments and interventions in client homes.
IMPORTANT: Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.
