We ensure the long-term sustainability of the WA racing industry by being the controlling authority for thoroughbred, harness and greyhound racing codes, as well as incorporating wagering through the WA TAB.
About the Role
We seek an experienced Senior Procurement Business Partner to support the Procurement Manager in overseeing daily operations of the Procurement Business Partners.
Main Responsibilities:
* Lead the Procurement Business Partners in daily activities to deliver key outcomes for assigned categories.
* Oversee and facilitate the innovation and integration of upgraded technologies and methodologies.
* Establish and monitor key performance indicators for procurement effectiveness.
* Drive continuous improvement, define objectives, and translate them into practical implementation strategies.
* Work with the Procurement Manager to identify capability gaps within the PBP team and develop required skillsets for an Agile procurement environment.
* Provide excellent customer service to business unit teams.
* Conduct meetings with key stakeholders at all levels of assigned business units.
* Conduct Procurement & Contract Management Activities in accordance with relevant policies and frameworks.
* Assist business units with scoping activities to drive specified outcomes for the business.
* Develop Requests for Quote / Tender and Expressions of Interest programs.
* Source necessary goods and/or services for business units.
* Conduct market research to locate, evaluate, and engage suitable suppliers or contractors on behalf of RWWA.
* Keep internal Contract Management & Document Control Systems up to date along with RWWA's tender portal on Tenders WA.
* Assist Procurement Manager during Audits (internal and external).
* Work with Procurement Manager to ensure procurement activities are delivered in a timely manner.
Requirements
Tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Procurement, Contract Management, or relevant area (desirable but not mandatory).
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.
* Experience in leading and mentoring team members.
* Demonstrated experience in various category management roles (desirable but not mandatory).
* Knowledge of procurement processes, policies, systems.
* Proficient computer skills including MS Office suite and CMS.
* Ability to prioritise, multitask, and manage time efficiently.
* Demonstrate proficiency across domains of self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, social skill, and motivation.
* Ability to manage an agile procurement team effectively and efficiently.
* Comfortable working autonomously.
* Accurate with a high level of attention to detail.
* Ability to analyse problems and provide strategies and advice to solve issues.
