Adecco are currently recruiting for a seasoned Production Manager (Aluminium Motor Vehicle Products) to oversee manufacturing operations in Ipswich ensuring the facility is meeting production targets and continuing to deliver very high quality products.The aim is to optimize the efficiency of the production function by leading and motivating the production team and making sure the processes and procedures are streamlined.You will be reporting directly to the Managing Director but you can make the role your own through implementation of principles such as Lean manufacturing, 5s or any other principles to achieve maximum output and minimise waste.It is a permanent role based in Ipswich and it is a Monday to Friday operation with a 6am start and working required hours to ensure KPIs and targets are being met.This opportunity is paying a great salary between $100k - $115k (neg) plus 11.5% superannuation, dual cab ute, fuel, very attractive bonuses along with a fantastic culture and working conditions.You will be joining a market leading business that truly values its employees and the contribution that they make to the success of the business.Client DetailsOur client is a market leading manufacturer of aluminium products for the motor vehicle industry and they have no plans of slowing down.They have built a very strong reputation in the market for producing high quality products which is a credit to their processes, culture and working conditions where everyone is valued for their contribution to the organisation.The business has doubled in size in the last few years and so has their market share of the Australian market.DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for the following:Mentoring and directing a team of about 35 staff consisting of CNC Operators, Fabricators, Welders and assembly staffWork with Production Planner and oversee production schedules to meet project deadlines.Monitor production progress and performance against targets and KPIs, ensuring efficient use of materials, labour, and machinery.Undertake all recruitment, onboarding, training and discipline of staff to ensure production is operating to a high levelLiaise with the quality team to make sure all products are meeting the organisations very high quality standards as well as the end customers quality expectations.Oversee, monitor and implement health and safety policies and procedures ensuring staff complianceAnalyse existing production processes and procedures and identify areas for improvement to maximise production output and efficiency whilst minimising waste.Utilise manufacturing principles such as Lean Six Sigma and 5s or similarLiaise with the purchasing team for procurement of required materials for productionResolve any customer/clients inquiries regarding the finished productLead toolbox meetings providing the requirements and expectations for each day ProfileKnowledge & Skill Previous operational/production management and leadership experience within a manufacturing environment Trade background in fabrication, welding or sheet metal work would be helpful but the ability to quickly learn technical and product requirements is all that is requiredExperience leading a production team to achieve targets and KPI'sUnderstanding of Lean six sigma and 5s manufacturing principles is highly regarded Previous experience implementing change successfully to a manufacturing process and getting the production teams buy in.Ability to troubleshoot and implement solutions with a high standard of attention to detail and dedication to producing a quality productAstute and customer focusedExcellent written and verbal communication skillsGood computer skills and experience with ERP systems or similarJob OfferWhats on Offer You will be rewarded with a fantastic salary between $100,000 - $115,000 plus 11.5% superannuation (based on experience)Also included is a fully maintained dual cab ute, fuel, and you can use the ute for unlimited personal use.Fantastic bonus structure on offerRelocation assistance available if requiredFantastic culture, team and working conditionsYou will be joining a collaborative and supportive team within a growing organisation If you are interested in the above role please feel free to contact Brock O'Brien via either phone on 0476 777 568 or email on Brock.O'Brien@
