We are seeking a passionate and dedicated teacher aide to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our educators and enhancing the learning experiences of our students. Classes operate for children from prep to year 6. We have a range of straight classes and composite classes. You will often notice our students playing, socialising and learning across year levels. We are very proud of this culture of unity and friendship.Railway Estate State School was established in 1916 and is a great example of architecture which suits the North Queensland climate. The stunning Queenslander styled buildings and well-kept grounds are often a talking point amongst visitors.About The RoleThe successful applicant will be expected to demonstrate a high level of independence and competence when working with individual and small groups of students as well as other duties as described in the role description.Playground/bus supervision.Assisting in the supervision of education activities, under the direction of a teacher.Adaptability to cater for a diverse range of student needs.Communicate effectively and display high level of interpersonal skills to function as an effective team member.Responsibilities IncludeAssisting teachers and students with sporting activities and with school excursions.Assisting with the management and stocktaking of equipment and resources.Communicating effectively and displaying high level of interpersonal skills to function as an effective team member.Maintaining anecdotal records on students for use in reviewing student's development.Displaying respect and empathy for students with high level needs.Displaying confidentiality, tact, reliability and sensitively to students and their families.The compiling and supervising of class rolls.Please refer to the attached role description for any mandatory requirements for this position.Interested?
