The role will ensure the content needs of the broader business are met, in particular supporting our marketing, commercial, consumer, and community functions.The Digital Editor will have a deep understanding of the digital landscape, what makes great content, and how to maximise its reach. They will manage a highly-motivated and flexible team, committed to connecting members and supporters with their Club, and play a key role in delivering on our ambition to be the best storytellers in Australian sport.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop and manage annual content plans and game day coverage for AFL, AFLW, and VFL programs.Oversee social media content management and calendar, ensuring timely and effective delivery.Publish and oversee digital content across desktop, mobile, and app platforms.Manage staff performance, set goals, and foster a strong team culture.Analyse user trends to identify growth opportunities and enhance fan engagement.Monitor global digital content trends and maintain industry knowledge.WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:Relevant tertiary qualification (Digital/Communications/Marketing or similar)At least four years’ experience working in the digital industryDemonstrated experience managing people and teams to achieve results whilst supporting engagement and wellbeingExperience using a variety of CMS/digital platformsA broad understanding of AFL and the sporting industryUp-to-date knowledge of best practices in digital marketing, engagement, and measurement, and the ability to implement strategies that will drive business outcomesAdaptability to work in different and changing environments.Ability to work on multiple projects and prioritise.Highly organised, excellent attention to detail, and be a strategic and analytical thinker.Strong communication and relationship management skillsTeam-focused with an ability to work independentlyABOUT US:Richmond Football Club is one of the largest clubs in the Australian Football League, proudly rooted in our rich history and tradition.
