Now with Australian operations in full swing, we require the expertise of an experienced National Head of Procurement to oversee and lead the strategic sourcing, inventory management and distribution relationships across Australia. The successful candidate will report directly to the CEO and will work closely with the 1KOMMA5 global headquarters, driving the procurement strategy and ensuring product availability and cost efficiency align with both market demand and business goals. This is a senior leadership position that will require strong negotiation skills, strategic thinking and a deep understanding of both local market needs and global supply chain dynamics. Key Responsibilities: National Inventory Management: Oversee inventory management across all offices and warehouses, ensuring stock levels are aligned with sales forecasts and orders. Develop and implement inventory strategies that optimize stock availability and minimize excess or obsolete stock. Collaborate with local teams to ensure inventory accuracy, timely deliveries, and efficient stock turnover. Supplier and Distributor Relationships: Manage key relationships with suppliers and distributors to ensure consistent, high-quality product delivery. Negotiate and manage supplier contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure the best possible outcomes for the organization. Work closely with suppliers to ensure product quality, lead times, and service levels meet the company’s standards. Global Collaboration with Headquarters (Germany): Liaise with the German headquarters to ensure the products supplied meet Australian market specifications and customer needs. Communicate Australian market insights, customer requirements, and demand forecasts to the global team to influence product offerings and adjustments. Manage cross-border supply chain processes, ensuring timely deliveries from Germany while maintaining optimal stock levels. Cost Optimization & Negotiation: Lead negotiations to secure the best possible pricing and contractual terms for the group. Continuously assess and identify opportunities for cost savings across procurement activities without compromising product quality or service. Monitor and report on procurement performance, identifying and addressing inefficiencies. Market Analysis & Demand Forecasting: Analyze market trends, customer needs, and sales data to forecast product demand and adjust procurement strategies accordingly. Collaborate with sales and operations teams to ensure procurement decisions align with business objectives and market conditions. Leadership & Team Management: Lead and develop a high-performing procurement team, providing mentorship and guidance. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation within the procurement function. Skills & Qualifications: Experience: Proven experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role. Strong experience in managing national inventory and overseeing procurement operations across multiple locations. Experience in negotiating with international suppliers and distributors, ideally within the renewable energy, technology, or construction sectors. Skills: Proven ability to manage large, complex supply chains and optimize procurement processes. Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable pricing and contract terms. Ability to collaborate effectively with international teams, especially in a cross-cultural environment. Strategic thinking with a focus on long-term cost optimization and efficiency. Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the renewable energy market and associated supply chain dynamics. Familiarity with Australian market regulations, customer needs, and demand trends. Education: Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
